Shes gone!
Well guys, long time lurker, recently registered.
Was driving to work, went around a turn and hit
a tiny bit of water, where the roads meet, and
lost it, into a telephone pole and a gas meter.
not a good day, this was my first corvette and
hopefully not my last. Just did my HID upgrade
and new cam, headers and new throttle body
are in the mail as we speak.
Was a super clean 99 coupe, and it will be dearly
missed!
Not sure its totaled, but id assume it is!

OUCH! Sorry to hear it. Based on the picture, I can pretty much guaranty that it's totalled. I hope you've got good insurance and end up with a couple bucks to put into something new once it settles out.
I dont' know how savvy you are or how much time you have to deal with all of this, but you may be able to settle the total, buy it back at salvage and then part it out for a lot more $. Since you've only damaged the front end you can probably still sell the motor, trans, diff, suspension bits, interior bits, wheels, etc.

only like 30 mph! and nope walked away, i think it was just so bad because it was a gas meter and a telephone pole, about 3 feet away from eachother, and i hit in the middle of the 2! Ive just been looking at some replacement parts and well into the 12k + just from damage you can see,. im sure shes a gonner.. which might be a better thing, but will make for a sad day when i get the news!

Ive already been thinking all day about buying it back, havent gotten total confirmation that its totaled, althought we all know it is, as this just recently happened. motor seems ok, tranny is auto, rear end should be fine. Interior was pretty clean no rips ect, i'll prob attempt to buy it back, know someone who wants the targa top and someone who might want the engine/computer.. depends how much they'd want for it back! im afraid it'd be too much!

You better hope it's totaled because you'll make out like a Banshee. I totaled my '99 with 125K on it. They gave me $17K and I bought a C6 Z51. I would have never gotten $17K for that car even with the upgrades. BTW, insurance companies don't count your upgrades.

That depends on your coverage. I specifically carry aftermarket parts coverage on my car ($26/year for up to $10k in parts at replacement value) because of how much I've put into it. When I was 19 I totalled a heavily modified car and got burned, so I learned that lesson young.
Any of you that have a good bit of $ into mods might give your insurance company a call to see if you have or can add this coverage.

might be a dumb question, im sure its been asked a million times, but where do you put a front license place on the c6?
Did you buy your c5 back? or even consider it? do you know how much they wanted for it?

Sorry for your lose an glad no one was injured. That looks like a big hit for 30 mph. It also appears that it did a 180 degree spin after the contact with the pole.
