Oh man....that's big time. That's some power you can feel right there! Not a stock clutch still is it?

Sounds good, I'm right next to you in Channelview. I am worried about the driveability and mileage. I like to go on runs through the National Forest, and they are hours long so driveability and mileage mean alot to me. BUT, like everybody else, I need more POWA!

stephen said that it would be driveable and i have been to conroe and it drove fine and mileage was around 17 i think, there and back. i was concerned about driveability also and had to talk myself into it after a while but now that it is in i am kicking myself in the a$$ for waiting so long........

The way I drive I'd get 13mpg...lol. I only get 16.6 avg or so now. I'm really considering this. My stock clutch feels good, I just hate to push it. Inevitably though, if the clutch calls out for help...what'cha gonna do...replace it. I'm really thinkin about ordering this because, though my Z...making about those same power numbers (385whp or so) is fast, 440whp is huge by comparison! Plus I need to do a valvespring change anyway.

Hmmm

I put a 15k of hard miles on my car with the cam. It rocks. I live on 610 in the Galleria area, and if anybody is concerned with drivability, I am. Cam drove great in traffic, on 500 mile road trips, etc, beating on it at the track, spirited driving, etc. My car made 435/405 up from 380/380.

I sure puts out great peak numbers and would be good for certain applications. But below 4000 rpms it is softer, so wouldn't be a good DD cam at least for me.

no heads just cam, vararam, headers, hi flo cats and stock ti's. i haven't had it out for a long road trip yet. last trip b4 cam i averaged ~25ish mpg. it is not a dd so i am not as concerned about mileage. with a tune installed it was about 2 1/2 large. you can see it at englandgreen.com

from what i've seen so far it could very easily be a dd. can't cruise in 4th going 40 now and takes a little more pedal when letting out the clutch but drives great

I just looked at the graph again and the torque dip in the 4 to 4.5k range was throwing off what I was looking at. That is the only range it is softer, and is actually showing more power in the 2K to 4K range. Not bad for a very large cam

update on mileage. took a short road trip this week to college station and back, about 1 3/4 hours one way and burnt ~3/4 of a tank of gas round trip and the dic said that my mpg was 23.6 crusing between 70-85. not to bad and i am happy with it
