C5 vs. Camaro SS

I like hamburgers and hot dogs and appreciate one of each at the BBQ. Apple pie is good too and so is peach. Both a new Camaro and a Vette -in the garage - all the better. Course a 1st-Gen Camaro is better than all combined (pie included).
But Seriously though, I think says something that a good 'ol C-5 basically performs at the same level as an aggressive car design that is over 10 years newer. Makes the C-5 even more of a better value. Until the 1st C-6 gets to be another 5yrs. older, then and only then, will one be able to find such a great value in a performance car.
Public street racing is dumb though - you can't really determine jack w/o a light/track/timing devices/drivers who know what to do/etc. It really just amounts to testosterone gone astray and lack of independence and self-control conbined with disregard for others safety. Something we all have fallen too at one time or another and should all strive to graduate from. Occassionally I admittedly still go astray but not proud of it.

I think the new Camaro is ugly but thats just my opinion. After the first Gen I think the Firebirds looked better. But the new Camaro is just wrong in my opinion. The Mustang and Challenger look much better. The challenger is poor quality though. But then so was the original one. I had one new with the 340 4 speed and the whole dash shook when under power.
