No need to epoxy them in. I just carefully used sheet metal screws. After all its just eye candy not a real roll bar. Had mine in for about 6 years now and no problems.
One of my favorite mods I have done to my Vert! My wife saw them on another C5 vert and said, "you have to get those" and so I ordered them the next day and love them!!

IMHO
I don't like them. With the Yellow, Black and Oak in your car already (which looks beautiful) I think the chrome hoops make it all too busy.
Plus they are cosmetic and look like a tight fit, I can just see one getting installed slightly off and being a rub point or rattle point which would drive me nuts.
Not for me, sorry.
Your car is beautiful already, don't need no chrome jewelry.
To be honest, I am just not one for cosmetics, yet.......
i am biased as i have the installed on my 04 ce convertible and i love the look. the adhesive install kit that WCC sells worked great and made the install extremely simple. one work about after the install, and just a suggestion on my part, pay the few dollars to have the rear carpet professionally cut around the hoops and trimmed out (i had mone done in a shale color to match as closely as possible the carpet color. you won't be sorry and it really finishes the whole install perfectly. i say go for it you'll love the look.
I installed them in our 2001 Roadster and we love them. I used several packages of JB Weld for the installation rather than the Bondo that is suggested for the installation.
They are pretty much attached "permanently" without a lot of cutting and labor to remove, so be sure. Your gas tanks are just below the panel to which they are mounted. Do not drill and use sheet metal screws!
Pay particular attention to the clearance between the convertible cover door, as it can come into contact with the bars if they are not properly aligned. Brace, tape or otherwise tie and secure the bars just forward of the door while the glue sets. Otherwise, you may have door closure issues afterwards.
What would Jerry Seinfeld's friend Elaine Benis say ? "Fake. Fake. Fake. Fake."
Like most of us don't spend money on eye candy on the cars to start with.
Let he who has not spent a dime to improve the image raise his/her hand first... ...

Nuff Said..............
Cosmetic mods are based on the individual's preference. What might look bad to one person, looks great to another. I love my seat hoops and have received many positive comments over the years.
The same "fake" argument could be made for Z06 fog light screens and even the GM OEM C6 Z06/Grand Sport hood vent. Many of the aftermarket hoods, etc. have non-functioning cosmetic enhancements, grills, etc.
Nice, I went to a car show last year and a guy had the chrome hoops like you have BUT they were duck taped ,he said he didnt want to drill holes in his car lmao............!
