I have these temporary in place, just slide over carpet for some pics. I would like some of your thoughts cause once these bad boys get installed with epoxy, they are not coming out! Your thoughts and opinions will help me decide! Thanks
Nice, I went to a car show last year and a guy had the chrome hoops like you have BUT they were duck taped ,he said he didnt want to drill holes in his car lmao............!
I like the look with and without them, I just don't want the cockpit to look to busy and cluttered. It's a hard choice as they can't be easily removed if I want a change or get tired of them. This is a very hard mod to decide as it's going to cost a lot of time and money to remove, more replies the better!
They definitely do really bring out your chrome wheels. However, I still like the clean look of just the black and millennium yellow. Plus it would just be one more thing to have to clean and polish on a regular basis!

They're not too difficult to keep clean. I wipe mine down with window cleaner/microfiber towel every time I wash the car and clean the windows. I polish them when I polish my chrome tips. They look just as new as the day I installed them in 2005.
I have an all-black interior, so I think the chrome adds some needed bling. This cockpit already has mutliple colors with the two-tone seats and black decklid. It looks good now.
Brian, you seem hesitent to pull the trigger so it's probably a good idea to shelve this mod for awhile. You can always add them later.
I'm looking at the car and pics and I am leaning towards the real install!
I have always been a fan of the 65 Shelby Roadster, and these hoops seem to remind me of one of the greatest cars ever built, I think it gives a vert that roadster look!
I'm pretty sure that these will be going on, a lot of positive feedback, and my wife likes them as she states they are another place to hold onto when the pedal hits the floor!
Are there hoops there that actually work as a roll bar?
Just racing-level roll bars. These hoops are purely cosmetic.
I took an online GM survey that requested input into their new designs and I requested that the C7 convertibles have actual roll over protection similar to the functional seat hoops found on Mercedes, BWM and Porsche convertibles. Hopefully GM acts on that.
