Best asked in C5 Tech where it's usually discussed. Or, in C5 Tech, use search or search this forum (in the red banner). Use "water wetter" as keywords. That should lead you to the discussion from about two weeks ago (and many more threads).
I use 1-2 bottles of it in my cooling systems of our daily drivers, my Z16 and my previous modified tri five Chevy cars. Don't expect miracles. In hot humid AZ summers, I don't see a significant cooling effect, but it does stabilize the cooling system. It's a surfactant which aids in breaking down surface tension. Basically, it makes the coolant more efficient against hot metal.
Water Wetter is good stuff, I used it with my C2 and C3's to help with the overheating. But, with the C5's I haven't had any issues with overheating. Newer cars need to be closer to recommended temp levels for all the emissions and such to work properly. I keep the trash out of the radiator and such. C5's are bottom suckers and I have found that to be the problem most of the time. Also, note when the last time the coolant was changed and the system flushed. I use my vert several times a year in our local parades and it has yet to heat up. Some days I do run the AC to make sure the fans stay on all the time on a long parade route.
Has anyone tried WATER WETTER in their cooling systems. I have heard that it will lower the operating temp by 10 degrees!! Any truth to this?
It worked for me.....but I:
Got a new radiator cap.
Did a full system flush and replaced with a 50/50 mix of DexCool and distilled water (with Water Wetter).
Purchased a new t-stat.
Purchased new hoses.
Pulled the radiator and had it cleaned out.
Vette runs in the low 190's, now.
I used it in my Street Rod that was powered by a GM EFI Ram Jet 350. It seemed to help to some degree, however, as it's been said above---don't expect miracles!!!
I've tried it on 2 different occassions/cars. Saw absolutely no diff. in the temps. (which exceeded the T-stat opening design point) I think the claims are bogus and much like all the other over-priced hokus-pokus elixyrs sold in same section such as belt dressing and radiator repair juice. Your better off going out and spending $20 on a good pizza.
water wetter is an excellent addition to straight water. On my track bike where glycol coolant is not allowed you have to run plain water. The water wetter provides the lubrication properties necessary to keep the pump working.
Ive used it often. I use one bottle, 20 ozs of antifreeze and demineralized water. pulled 7 degrees and good for 20 degrees f protection. Thats plenty where I live
I have used it in my 72 Chevelle 468 BBC. All Ive noticed is that it takes longer for the temp to come up, but it still gets to full temp and stays there.
As others have mentioned, this product is excellent for use with straight water (racing applications). Other than that, I'm not convinced that it is a good thing to use with our Dexcool coolants. Have there been any longterm studies on how it interacts with the coolant, radiator, pump, etc. I'm just not big into additives of any kind. Just my two cents.

IIRC Water wetter is more of a lubricant to used when WATER not coolant is used in the radiator.
Water Wetter does a great job. However, one needs to clean out the radiator with an air hose or garden hose first.
If your radiator is over 6 years, you may want to consider taking the radiator out of the car, and having a shop dip the radiator in to very hot water, to clean the fins.
So much crap, sand, dirt, grass, mickyDs bags, dead things get into and clog the fins. Most ppl dont notice the slow temp climbing.
First thing they do and the INCORRECT thing they do is put a lower T-stat on. NO. clean the radiator and ac condenser out
Cleaning your radiator fins out once a year makes a huge difference to your cars cooling abilities.
