Default Rear Chrome Letters

Thinking about putting the metal chrome letters on the rear of my 2002 vette. Where is the best place to purchase and the cost?

See willfullone at CCA here on the forum. I bought the black chrome ones and they look great. Unsure on price though.

CCA doesn't have the metal ones anymore. I found out when one of my letters fell off and I tried to use the 'lifetime replacement warranty' that was offered when purchased.

I have the SS set from Mid America. I like that they have rounded edges and more of a 3D effect.

There is a difference between the metal chrome letters and the stainless ones. If you want the true chrome ones get them from west coast corvette. If you want the stainless ones get them from corvette mods!

ssinserts makes a very good set of metal letters, but as said above, many of the CF vendors offer a set.

Those look much nicer than the ones I got for $65 at Corvette Clinic in San Jose.

To the OP: Be careful when installing the small bars for the middle of the "E". It's possible to get it into the slot at a slight angle ang then it looks funky. I did that on one of mine and it grabs my eye every time I look at the back of the car because the reflection is different there than it is on the rest of the letters.

Good luck with your search. I have never seen black metal finished rear letters. I've seen black vinyl letter sets, but the only metal-like sets I've seen are SS, chrome or black chrome.

I have chrome letters on my rear bumper from WCC, however, they are flat and have a sharp point on the R and every time I wash my car, the wash mitt gets hung up on the R. I would recommend the SS that have the smooth rounded corners to avoid this problem. I am going to be changing mine to the SS ones soon!

I found a guy that bought black titanium metal lettering...but the store he got them at showed them discontinued.
