Default Handling problem?

Took out my defective trans last week and reinstalled an upgraded
one via RTK. Trans works great...but now the car doesn't seem to handle the same....rear feels loose...like oversteer. Could anything have gone wrong? All bolts were torqued to spec....basically...cradle
bolts, shock bolts...control arm bolts. Now our chart calls for 81 ftlbs for
the upper control arm bolts...but I just heard something different from
the corvette tech....could that be it?

I had my trans replaced and then I installed a cam so the steering rack had been removed. I went ahead and put on the C6Z06 shocks and then had a 4 wheel alginment done and it feels great now.

What should I check for? We did not disconnect anything and the car only has 25,000 easy miles on it.

Hey there, how does the rear end feel loose, is it under hard acceleration? Do you hear anything clunking or rattling now that you didn't feel before? Is it unpredictable or do you know when it's going to start to oversteer? If the control arms were disassembled have you had the alignment checked?

A little more info and we might be able to narrow the problem down a little bit.

Default lets see if I can clarify

We took out the cradle with all suspension components and axles intact...just disconnected upper control arm bolts and shock bolts. We put it back
in using the alignment pins and torqued all bolts and nuts to spec.

When I say loose..I don't mean rattling or anything....it is subtle, yet
obvious feeling that the rear is not tracking with the front...sometimes
feels like you are rolling on marbles back there...also the up-down travel
feels like it is less than before...like maybe the shocks reached their limit..

Now the car has fairly new tires which felt amazing before the trans
replacement...handled like it was on rails...now when going into a hard
turn...it feels like the rear is coming out too soon...although I have not
broken it loose yet...it is an uneasy feeling.

At this point...we are thinking alignment or need new shocks.

Most definately get a 4 wheel alignment if you're experiencing that.

You put the rear cradle back in without alignment?

how are the a-am bushings ? those could be shot, ie too soft and need to be replaced too

There is no mention of rear cradle alignment in any tutorial...I even
talked to a corvette tech who said the alignment is automatically
provided by the 4 locating pins.
