HELP!!! C5 Vert or C5 Z06?
I sold my C4 Vert, and I need some help!!!
Im trying to decide what kind of C5 Vette to buy!
I love the C5 Vert, but really like the C5 Z06.
I would love you thought and ideals, what are the pros and cons from you.

Tough one.
They are two totally different animals.
You have had a convt. Ae you going to be happy not having a drop top on those Beautiful sunny days or those nice night cruises with the wind blowing in your face.
I myself Love convts. My wifes C-5 convt is a pleasure to run around in.
The Z-06 on the other hand is an animal. Plenty of tire shreading power on tap. Superb handling also. But, FRC. Can't remove the top or put the top down.
You have to make up your own mind.
My personal opinion is that you have the best of both worlds with a convt.

Having driven a C4 Vert quite a bit, and now owning a C5 Vert I think you will find it SO different. You will love the new (to you) C5 Vert.
All that said, the power of the C5 ZO6 is nuttin' to sneeze at. My vote is still the Vert!

Having come from a convertible, given it wasnt a corvette, and going to the coupe I miss the ease of putting the top down vs taking the targa off but if I were to do it over again I would have taken the Z06 I had a chance at. Open air doesnt mean as much as I thought it did...

If you are looking for the higher horsepower performance image than no question the Z06. However if you enjoy cruising the convertible is the way to go. I live in west central Florida so I would most likely go Z06, because I would not have the top down that much.

Depends if you'd be buying a 6 speed or an A4 vert. I waited most of my life to buy a Vette, but I had to have a vert. I've only had it for a couple a months now, but I drive it every day. With the top down every chance I get. Wife said I'm going to ware the top out putting it up and down so much. I told her they make new ones. she just laughed. Buy the vert, and if you need more power do some mods. The 6 speed was out of the question for me.

If you take your vette to the track then Z06. The Z06 may have more HP and a better suspension, but do you need all that on public roads?
OR you can look at it like this:
You can take a vert and mod it up to a Z06 a lot easier then you can take a Z06 and mod it up to a vert.
OR you can go my preferred route:
Buy one of each.

I drive my '99 convertible with the top down every chance I get. When I do have to drive it with the top up, it's still fun, but . . .
If I can have only one C5, then it's gotta be the convertible.

I vote z06 they are amazing cars and the best looking of all c5s. Plus just my opinion but verts are kinda girly
