A year ago I paid $24000 for a 2001 Quick Silver coupe, 6-speed, heads up display, 12-disc changer, etc, with 2475 miles - so yes, I think he has left himself ample room to negotiate.

Seeing that car is in Canada which really adds to the price.

It would be brand new if it still had the new car warranty. As it is, its a used car with low miles.
Drive it for a year and put 15k miles on it and you just lost $25,000.
Makes the per mile depreciation a little pricey.

I couldn't justify that price. I would get something nice with 30-45,000 miles and with the savings a new 2 me motorcycle would join the Vette.

Way too high for me to ever consider buying it - it is after all an '02 model.

Will never sell at that price.
Just did a Canadian to US Dollar conversion -- $52,000 Canadian = $54,144 US. Yep, even the Canadian dollar is worth more than ours.

Canadian prices are ALWAYS higher....still a little on the high side $40kCDN would be a more reasonable asking price.

seems high--do you have to pay VAT or GSE on top of that?

Yep, they are definitely more expensive in Canada. I can attest to that. However, it is still a little excessive. 40 - 45k range would be more reasonable for such a low mileage car.

Cars in Canada are always higher because the Canadian dollar has been weaker than the American dollar for 30+ years. The US dollar has dropped in value big time in the last 5 years.
Used car market in Canada is really screwed because the US dollar has weakened so much. I could take my car to Canada... sell it for 40-50 and come back to TX and buy a used C6Z06, and have money left for mods... Kinda screwed up really.
