My chrome zo6 rims are chipping really fast i drive my vette like one time a week and garaged all the time. A week ago the chrome was fine maybe like 1-2 chips. But in the last 2 days its been it's been chipping really fast. Is there some kind of spray i can use to stop from chipping.

My son bought some chrome rims and they did the same. Once it started they just went from bad to worse. If yours are anything like his, they're toast.

Sounds like you're going to have to have them prepped and rechromed or buy new ones... The finish on some of the repros sucks... Gl

I had my vette outside for a month before it went i the garage and they looked like brand new. I heard that if you put clear nail polish on the places that are chipping it stop it has any one ever do this?

No spray that I know of - about the only recourse is rechroming, switch to powdercoating, or buy new wheels. Sorry.

Some of the cheaper reproductions will do that after a while.

You could try it... You're not any worse off than you are now if it doesn't work...

There's alway the miracle cure...........black. Personally, don't like black wheels........looks like the hubcaps came off, LOL. Seriously, the nail polish does work, you have to check it often

The repros are all made in China. I had some issues with a set that I had to return to the vendor. The second set was excellent, so I made out ok. I'd call the vendor and see if they will do something for you.

I just clean the rims and applied the nail polish and it's not that bad as i thought it was. Just the front left one got the worst of it. Hopefully the nail polish works.

Thanks everyone
