Glad to hear you're alright and that it's not going to cost you any "BUCKS".

At least you can knit a nice little sweater with the fur left behind.
Dang...bummer really...and for the deer as well.
Hope the repairs go well and glad you are okay.
I got ya'll beat though when I hit a big black bear in North CA along the Smith River. I was in a minivan though so maybe that doesn't count here.

Sure glad you are OK - the car can be fixed. Tough break hitting the deer - best of luck with the repairs.

Wow that sucks.
Considering the circumstances would it be tacky to put the antlers on the hood, sort of a reminder to the rest

Same thing happened to me in my pickup. In a residential area and the deer came full tilt from between two houses and hit me just ahead of the outside mirror. Broke the mirror off and caved in the drivers side door. I backed up to pull the deer out of the road but it got up and sprinted away before I got to it. I am glad that it survived. The mirror cost $300 and I was able to cosx the caved in door back out. All is well.

Yep....it was a different time (1994) with four kids and a planned trip to Dizzyland.
It really was a great vehicle....fit me (6'5"), roomy, hauled us all and luggage...hauled me and my drums all over...dependable...it was close to perfect....but......it WAS a minivan. So after five years of that I got me a big bright red Chevy 4x4 Truck!!!.....and never looked back
