McLendon95, about those making negative comments, don't pay them no mind. They are just razzing you because they CAN. They are older than you are and because of that, they feel that they are entitled to do so - all in good fun - like a regular hazing ritual as you enter the fold of "Corvette Owners" which I am sure you understand.
As has already been stated, the Corvette is a powerful car which can get away from you rather easily. Please drive carefully. Remember, with (great) power comes (great) responsibility (bet you can't tell where that quote is from, ha ha); but I'm sure you already know that. - you're not stupid. In fact, judging by the way that you express yourself in your written text, you sound rather mature. For that reason, I am sure that demonstrating responsibility while driving a 350 HP V8 will not be a problem for you. Enjoy.
Congratulations on your new car. Holy chit! Nice choice, fo' sho'! Daaayyyuuum, 16 and a Corvette. You baller!
PS. Post YOUR OWN pics of your Vette - even if they are just camera pics - when you get her on Thursday.
I'd respond to your first statement, but I don't even know what it meant... As for the insurance, no, they don't pay for it. I have a job, but you already knew that, if you read my previous post. I'd be paying the monthly payments too, if my parents hadn't decided to pay cash to avoid the extra loan on their credit. I'll be paying for the gas as well.
Congrats then and take it easy. Quite the car for a first car that's for sure.
Your parents are very generous, very cool. Now go buy a box of condoms and have some fun.
Hahahaha im about to be 18 and three weeks ago my dad bought me a 2000 corvette coupe with Corsa exhaust and he says when he tells people what he got me, they tell him to buy me condoms. Hahaha cant wait to drive it school though!!

Why on earth would you want to drive it to school?! Its a good way to bring out jealousy on people next thing you know your posting up a thread on how your car got keyed!

Your point is valid, but i dont have any enemies that would want to do that, and i havent heard of that happening to any other nice cars at my school. Knock on wood...
