How many on here use it on the street? On that rare occasion when you have a chance to really get on it, TC really puts a damper on it! Which is probably a good thing I never use it just because you have to push the button and hold it.

Honestly, I think in the two years I have owned my car, I have probably put it into competition mode maybe once or twice, just to see what it would do. I usually just keep both AH and TC on for the safety factor.

I've used it a few times to get a little more wheelspin on a hard launch. I've been known to turn on comp mode on the way to the freeway, and at the on-ramp traffic signal I'll give it hell, just long enough to get up to speed. At the top of second gear I move to 6th and join traffic.
It just isn't as gratifying to drop the clutch and have the computer spoil your fun...but you still have Active Handling to keep you from killing yourself. 'Twas a great idea on GMs part.
I use it every chance I get...Especially when I pull up next to a kid in a ricer car or the occasional mustang. Just in case they want to play I'm ready.
I don't think I have NOT run the car in competition mode more than a handful of times in the last 8 years or so. I installed a Laptrax that automatically puts it in competition mode each time it starts. Wish I could have bought my car without AH/TC at all - needless expense and complexity added to the car.

Are you sure your 00 doesn't have it? Have you held the TC/AH button down for 5 seconds when your are stopped? I only ask as mine is a 2000 and has competition mode and I didn't realize GM made the cars different in that respect.
I also find it funny that GM would make it where all you have to do is touch the button to turn the entire AH/TC on and off, but you have to be stopped and holding the button for 5 seconds to activate competition mode keeping AH on. Seems backwards to me. (I realize in later years you do not have to be stopped to put it into competition mode).
