I tried to install mine and after half hour I took it to a place that sells and install them and they did it for 20 bucks and took a half hour.

Other than the thread color, it looks fine. I've done three of the WHEELSKINS covers on tri five cars. It does take some time. The blisters heeled in a few days. If you decide to change the thread color, the company will send you the thread gratis...at least they did for me.
Ignore the naysayers (that's what the ignore feature is for). Who cares what they think.

They aren't bad, it took me an hour maybe. I've done two of them. they actually look better in person than a picture

Thanks guys....Its all good...I know the drill, post on a public forum and welcome ALL comments/opinions, but at the end of the day we all know whose opinion counts
Took advice on the thread color over the black and "fixed" it:
And for an encore - - notice the trim piece around the gauge cluster
I have the same cover still sitting on my shelf. Appreciate the OP and all the feedback on installation. The thread color change does make the install look cleaner. What type of needle did you use for install?
btw...I'm liking those oak pipe accents around the gauges!
I bought that cover off of here, probably 2 years ago by now and finally got the nerve to (try) put it on. I lost the string that came with it, but wheelskins will send you another, all I did was email them....they sent the thread and the needle...if ya want a pic of it let me now...not sharp, kinda blunt and about 2" long...
I'm not even sure if it is a wheelskins brand cover, as I said I bought it used off here. I can tell ya the hardest part was getting the needle thru each of the stitching holes, didn't seem like they were cut enough or for that matter very even...and hard to see...I shoulda took the time to pre poke thru the holes before trying to stitch it...oh well...next time!
Apologies OP, but I have to agree. Sometimes you just have to know when to leave well enough alone.
I personally would never consider any car that has interior mods. I have yet to see one that really looks well thought out, professional, or original. GM did a pretty good job all by themselves. The conversions to look like the inside of a carnival ride just never look right.
BUT, it is YOUR car and as long as your happy, that's all that matters.

Look, you want honesty, If you like it, then I'm going to tell you I think it is excellent. But for me personally, I wouldn't do it. The colors are too bright and it's going to get really dirty. And if I had the means, I'd of had Vette Essentials do the leather work as that's their specialty. But that aside, I think you did a very commendable job and so long it is what you were after, It looks great !
