Window Problems?
I have a new-to-me stock '03 z06 with 26k miles. The previous owner kept it immaculate. However, the drivers side window had an issue that made a horrible scraping sound. The passengers window is completely loose. I can lift it up (just found this out).
Are the windows problematic, or is this just my luck?

Only problem I have had with windows in my old z is the power connection coming loose in the door jam. Sounds like your windows are off track though especially if you can lift one up and the other is scraping. Weird that they both are acting up.

The windows have a variety of problems. If it is making noise, check to make sure you don't have a frayed or broken drive cable on the window regulator assembly.
They also tend to stick in the up position. They work fine one day, and the next time you try to use them, they don't move.

you sound like you have a cable out of one of the guides on the regulator and even if you get it back in the window will act up and never keep to the right alignment afterwords. I know as my Driver-side suffered this and now it never stays aligned properly for me. I am getting a new regulator soon for my car.
