By the way does anyone have any tips for racing an automatic???
You need to give more info. Is this a rolling race, or flat out drag race! Your hardest task will be launching the car as hard as you can with minimal wheel spin in a drag race with these cold temps we have been having.
Heat up your tires real good with a nice burnout and launch at 1200- 1500.
I also recommend that you work on your launches in a safe area as the first 60ft will determine the winner most likely!
Haha yeah but really I use to put it down into first and go 1 2 3 but that messed up my tranny and now it has to be rebuilt but I'm putting a shift kit in it

You say 30 roll, makes it sound like a street race. Talking about street racing don't bode well on the forum. It will get this thread locked faster than a fat chick cleaning out an all you can eat buffet.
dude if you rev that car at 30 then drop it in gear not only are you going to get killed but your trans might punch you in the nuts.. but what i would do at a 30 roll is make sure your blowing the horn, and a number 2 point at what you think is a cop (wink) hit the horn again and take the hell off.. be like sorry man that's the only race you get.. then grab his gf and take off with her haha..
I ran a 427r rousche(197 body style-99-04) when I bought my 01c5z, I was stock lowered on factory bolts and reg radials.manageably took it down with a 12.09 @116 ...I think the guy went a 12.2x but I know he was blown when I came around him in 3rd ... MY car was BONE STOCK
