I did try both directions, including when I used a transformer on the bench to make sure the bulbs lit. I had the switch out and fooled with it, but when attached to an ohmmeter and operated, the switch works fine. I DO have to check fuses but I don't know which circuit this light works off, and I did not know about the intensities which I will check tomorrow.

I installed the rest of my 194's today and they look great. The glove compartment light power lead must not have been seated in the plug properly, 'cause now it's working well.
I did the 'reach thru the top of the headlights' method to replace the front side markers. Just needed a LONG needlenose to hold the wire to plug in the bulb.
