I've owned my vette for 72 hours, and I've already had to find a shady back way to my favorite Chinese place that avoids the very high, very narrow speed bumps in the front. Heck, I work in a historic city that was first settled in the 1700's, and the streets are kind of ark-shaped with the apex in the center of the road and the curb side being very low. I've bottomed out just driving too close to the curb already. That was painful
Who in their right mind would even consider making a speed bump that high?
Good thing you noticed and realized there was no possible way you were going to make it.
I can already see some teenage girl in a jette or a mazda 3 try to take it at 20 mph while talking on the phone.

Actually you're closer to the truth than you think. This Berlin Wall speed bump is between Old Navy and SHOE Carnival! I can't tell you how many women use this parking area! There have been groups of girls standing around this bump waving off traffic and watching the mayham! NO KIDDING...it's almost a scary movie thingy with women all on the same wavelength banding together for safety.
Due to speeders in the parking lot and the fact that cars vs peoples end up with people not making it. They decided since they can't slow vehicles down, LAUNCH the suckers over the people... Or they rather have people trip over oil pans, front suspensions, transmission casings left on the road instead of bodies.. they need to PAINT that so we vetts can know it. I don't think I could even go over that no matter what angle I approach, that's a vette STOP!.... LOL
Take one for the team and make an instructional video for the forum demonstrating what happens when a lowered Vette attempts to clear the Mt. Everest of speedbumps.
My grandfather who was around 70 years old at the time purchased a new car. A Chrysler Cordoba as I recall. Anyway the small town where he lived decided to install asphalt speed bumps on a street to slow down traffic. They were pretty tall and my grandfather drug the underside of his new car going over them.
He didnt like that. Being that he worked as the equipment maintenance supervisor for the town he waited until after dark and fired up the backhoe and removed all of the speed bumps to the shoulder of the road.
