The level 3 with an 18lb flywheel can be more trickier to drive daily as you have to rev the lighter flywheel more to take off and the ceramic material doesn't like to be slipped excessively without knocking the glaze off as it will build up otherwise and cause the problem the chatter you described. I apologize if someone did not explain that to you, if you haven't pulled it out try doing some rolling clutch dumps(ie 70mph 3rd gear) or speed shifts(no lift) around peak torque(4-5k rpm) to deglaze it.

Default Clutch

FYI: I bought my 08 Z in late july with 10k miles on it and I drove it about 3 miles when the clutch started to act up. The fluid was ink black I flushed it 40-50 times but the pedal would not come back all the way. Theres a GM service bullitin on that and its states that if the car is still under ther 5 yr 100k mi waranty and the pedal does not come up all the way and shifting is a problem they will replace it.
I had mine done for free. My 3 yr warranty is up but not the 5 on the drive train. At 1st GM would not pay and I put it on this forum. Then a friendly member told me about that service call. I copied it, went back to the GM dealer and they said "Oh that service bulletin"! Car has been great ever since. Now all I need to do is get rid on the Run crap tires! Good Luck!

If you don't mind driving to Vegas, TPE will do it for $99 assuming you buy the clutch from them.

Always a good idea to look at the date of the post you're answering.
