How many have this combo? Do you like the SSR? I currently have a suburban and C5 but I don't need the space I get with the suburban anymore. I do need to tow a pair of jetskies and an ATV so thinking SSR would be cool. Comments welcome... looking at a 06 SSR.

Yes I have a '03 triple black vert Vette and a '04 SSr black also. They truly make a great team. Towing with the SSr is fine (trailblazer underpinnings) and there is a reciever and wiring built in already, if you dont get the hitch with the truck you can purchase ($300-) and you are ready to go.
The SSr is a totally different vechicle than the Vette (da?) even though is has plenty of get up and go the Vette will eat it up alive in every catagory, except cargo room and ride quality. The SSr is heavy in fuel consumption vs. Vette . The cab is quite small but with roof off the most polite vert you will ever experience. Can have a conversation at 65mph! They hold their value excellently and might even increase as production was short lived. One thing though, the SSr is a delicate show truck so dont go thinking it is a truck with a different body, gentle is the treatment required or you will have a wreck soon.(The Vette is much tougher) They are very reasonable priced now and some excellent examples for sale. As far as attention getters, well the jury around my parts is still out and many folk think they are homely but unique.(maybe they just are envious) The Vette gets all the attention! lol. My suggestion is buy one, the SSr fanatics is a great forum and local club membership is a great bunch, and they love Corvette owners too!!! Proud to be in their company!! Any questions well pm me and I can probably answer them! Greetings, Rob
The 03 & 04 SSR came with the 300HP 5.3...In 2005 & 2006 GM stuffed the 400HP Corvette LS2 in them in hopes of reviving sales...It didnt work...GM ended production in 2006...Im glad to say I have one of the LS2 equipped SSRs (2005)...Believe me, it garners more attention than either of my C5s (99 Coupe & Convertible)...It also grabs more attention than my C6Z...People LOVE to see that retractable hardtop do it's thing

...Never met an SSR owner I didnt like ....Here's a couple shots from when a bunch of us got together for a trip to the Royal Gorge Bridge..
Isn't the SSR technically known as the Corvette Truck? I would and could use a second vehicle, It would be a SSR.
I refer to mine as my Corvette with ground clearance and a REAL TRUNK!!! ....Unfortunately, due to it's heavy weight and aerodynamics (lack thereof) it gets about half the gas mileage my Corvettes get

I think that they are very cool....it saddens me that GM killed production of them, though I understand why. I wish they made a fixed roof version though to shed some of that weight..
