Go for a nice clean C5 or FRC. All the fun is making it your own, and cleaning it up to look like new! If you get the C6, you will be broke,
and will regret it down the road. P.s My 1999 FRC in the picture has 205000KMS and drives like new. Don't be afraid of high milage.

CONGRATS MAN!! That's some serious miles and a good looking baby!!
Two months ago I bought a 2000 FRC for $13,500 in SoCAl from a very small dealer. One owner car with absolutely zero mods. 82K miles, I have to fix the flasher, the oil pressure sender and the radio. It looks and runs great, very pleased with it.
Guys appreciate all the help, but I am a little nutzzz, and went for the 08, and the wife is willing to help out to keep her man happy (lol)
Got a great interest rate 2.9 for 72mo. and only paying 150 more a mont for an 8 year newer car with the updated technology. I gotta just make it happen. P.S. all of you that sent me pics of the FRC's, they look awesome and thanks again
Steve
When you say you are "only" paying $150 more a month, you forgot to add that that is for an additional 2 or 3 years though. Anyways, congrats on the new ride. And posting pics is mandatory!
To some people payments of over 500 bucks for 6 years is doable. But not worth it to me.
I hope you're happy with paying 21K more for the 08 than a low mileage 2000. That's an extra 2700 bucks for each year newer. Plus the extra taxes and the extra insurance payments for the newer car.
OUCH
Heck you could buy 2 C5's for that and money left for mods.
Have fun, see ya in C6 section maybe in a few years.
One of the biggest mistakes people make in car purchasing IMO is that they fixate on, "ok, how much is it gonna cost me per month?" They don't actually take into consideration the purchase price of the vehicle. That's also the main reason dealerships make a lot of money.

This is a whole other Pandora's box. Our society has fallen into a trap of overpurchasing things they think they can pay for at that time instead of what they can afford in the long run.
btw, this is NOT in reference to Steve's decision, just reacting to the TORCH's truism.
