What is with some of you people? I responded to your post with a question, and you can't answer it? Instead you 'default' to 'newbie go to search' so you don't have to type too much? I DID a search after your kind 'recommendation' and found nothing to explain why Techron is needed. The only answer I got was from JMRose.
If you have half a tank, pour all of the bottle in and fill the tank completely. It will mix.
Don't start separating parts based on how much gas is in your tank. The reason they tell you to pour it in first THEN fill up is so that people don't over fill their tanks.
If you're half down, empty the bottle into the tank and fill up. it's that simple.
That was the way I was thinking about going, just want to see what others had to say. Thanks

and what SMC said in red...
It does the trick in the fuel sensor. I was out with a group on Saturday and the gauge went to empty and I got the Low Fuel warning. Went out to do last minute shopping and stopped at the Shel I always go to, added a bottle topped off the tank and as soon as I started the car up the sensor was clear and all is good again.

The fuel level sensor in the fuel tank gets a layer of varnish /corrosion build up on it. This comes from the fuel additives, or fuel that has poor additives and is poor quality. One way to fix or prevent this condition is to put 20 ounces of TECH RON fuel additive in the tank at least every other fill up which will help to clean the build up off the fuel level sensor.
"Some of YOU people"? and thats supposed to mean what?...some day grasshopper you will learn that since you have been here a measley 4+ months and you have asked a question/topic that has been discussed thousands of times previously...a search on "Techron/additive, etc. will lead you to dozens of threads telling you why you should use Techron...Even GM recommends and sells Techron with their name on the bottle...practice on more searching before you get your panties in a bunch
I disagree. Forums are for discussions and exchanges of ideas. Databases are for searches. Wiser people than me told me this.
