I will be paying my car off in a few months and obviously i'll have more money in my pocket and im looking to put a cam in my car but the thing is i drive my car everyday i want something to where you can hear it but not to radical? any suggestions would be much appreciated
You need to call one of the vendors here on the forum. You must have a tune if you change cams. I deal with Ed Hutchings who lives in Virginia. I purchased HPTune from him and he e-mails me my tunes. I log my runs and e-mail him the results and he sends me back a new tune. I am buying a set of headers from him and he is going to tune my car for them. I also plan to buy a cam from him next year and he will do that tune as well. He is on the forum.
By the way I live in Mayo about 5 miles north of Spartanburg.

I'd get those first along with hi-flow cats/x pipe.
Mail order tunes will wake up your car, but my experience is that fuel mileage will take a serious hit. (get your mods done and pay up for a nice dyno tune)
My current cam is 224/228 114LSA and it's got a nice burble at idle, has almost zero cam surge (bucking at low rpm) even down to idle and pulls great through the rpm range, but of course I've got other mods.
I've had great luck with Geoff @EPS; real happy since running my 218-
226 cam. Mine idles stock but his most popular 222/226 has a tad of
bump and works well with light mods, A4, or M6. good luck
I run a 224/230 .585/.588 113 (420 rwhp/392rwtq) in my Coupe You can definitely hear my cam's lope at idle. A local friend put the same cam in his car. The difference was he had a 114 LSA. Power output was very similar but he had a stock sounding idle. Zero lope.
You (OP) mentioned that you wanted to hear the cam too. Get an LSA of 113 or lower and you will hear the lope/chop.
Remember: If you can hear the cam, you will feel the cam.
If you have ***** or a gut, they'll shake at stoplights.

Yep Bluefire has it correct he knows his stuff! We both iinstalled new cams same specs except for LSA. I was looking to keep that stock sound. Here's a vid.
While not exactly a daily driver the Comp cam in our car is well mannered but others will definitely know your car is cammed - I had someone make note of it after parking the car last night! While waiting in traffic during the Midwest Motorworks Funfest cruise a guy walking down the sidewalk past the idling cars told me mine sounded the best out of all of them. Corsa Indy Pace Car exhaust probably has something to do with it as well!
Cam is the Comp 54-428-11 - 228/230 on a 112 with 2 advance using the XFI RPM High Lift lobes.
