I have them on my 04 Z06 and hate them! Want to remove, I'll have to search here what is best way to get them off as easy as possible, without painting!!

My car came with them so they are staying. I would not add them if it had not. I like them both ways so I am just keeping it original.

You will find in your search that some have used a monofilament (fishing) line with the aid of heat from a hair dryer. Some BSMs have been removed with a little effort and time, some not so easy.

Haven't read any posts about the necessity to repaint.

Good luck!

I removed the BSMs and most of the emblems from my truck. Its an 03 with almost 200k miles and the paint still looked fine. Can't tell where they were. I do polish and machine wax it every year so the paint is well maintained. But isn't that the case with any Vette? By the way the truck is a different deal. The black rubber ones on it were real ugly. Should have done it when it was new.

I like the looks of them on the car, but none of mine have come with the BSMs on it. It really does just come down to what you like - what we feel is really not important on this issue.
