Had it on my car for the first 4-5 years that I owned it. Then I got smart and pulled it off. So much cleaner looking.

Removed mine the first week I owned the car.
I tried to give them away, but no one local wanted them. Come spring cleaning time, I'm going to haul them to the dump.

I think they're fine if your car came with them. But I wouldn't add them.

Mine came with them, and I thought they were fine. Now, wish they were gone. Just wish they could be removed with soap and water.

You mean BSM has been discussed on this forum? Damn, should have used the "search" function before posting. Maybe the mods should move the thread to 'technical'.

Save some space and search the topic for all the other threads that end up 50/50 about the subject. Never understood what difference it makes what other people think about it anyway. Do you buy based on someone else's opinion, or are you just trying to start an argument?

Had them for about year and a half, then took off. Looks leaner/smoother without.

2023 C5 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
This was first discussed in 97 but don't worry
Surprisingly, in about 03 it was the subject of quite a few polls. You'd guess from here that most owners hate them. In fact the polls always came out about 50/50.
FWIW I like mine

My first two Corvettes did not have them. My 3rd does. I have no plans on removing them. I have no real opinion on yes or no with bsm's. Whatever the car has when I buy it.
