[Z06] HELP! Reverse light fuse keeps blowing!

Thanks bill. Good idea probing the fuse socket! I'm sure it's te switch as it's a common issue but I like diagnosing issues.
Is the reverse lights supposed to work with the key to on and the shifter in reverse? Car doesn't have to be running, correct?

Well I just got home from work and have not tested for 12volts at the fuse yet however I don't think I need to anymore. I noticed on my drive home the little green light on my mirror is lit up now as well as a functional auto-dim feature now. I also noticed an orange glow from the mirror down upon my shifter. None of this ever existed before.
I am going to go ahead and order a backup switch as everything except the lights are working now.
I did notice however that my keyfob is still not flashing the backup lights.
I know the bulbs are good because I just put two new ones in.
