540 That's a 16 or 17,000 dollar car in my neck of the woods, maybe a little more come spring. I'd start out asking more so you can discount it, and still get what you want out of it. No, I didn't have the issue you have but I had the grounding, no comm, issues. I'd be driving down the road, and all the gauges would just go nuts, windows, door locks wouldn't work. I got my car at a good price, but it's got a lot more miles than yours. I was just saying that MOST guys will walk away from a car that has err messages on it, not knoking your car at all. If you dicount it before anyone looks at it, they'll exspect another discount because of the message.
This is why I started this thread to get opinions like yours. I was going to start at 13,000 and take 500 off.
Shorts are a lot worse than this problem. Like I said before the car runs great with no electrical problems.
How do you explain when selling a C5 that the motor sounds like it is going to fall apart when you start it cold. I know most LS 1 motors sound this way but how do you explain it to someone who dosen't know.
Thanks Ikester. Turned out the issue was 540 vette said "LCM5" when in fact it's an "LMC5" module. That's why it didn't show up in any searches. Very much appreciate your help.
