Reduced Engine Failure Problem

Well u did give me a good laugh :-) I bought my c5 98 in 2004 and it had about 20k. The moron who had it before somehow was able to destroy the clutch and transmission. The dealer sold it to me and didn't tell me. I was a complete layman at the time and was on my own. I bought it for 21k with a 6 month lower tranny warranty which I ended up using to redo the transmission. I bought a new clutch and ever since then even though I brought it back 3. Times because the transmission shop sucked the clutch has been very difficult. Half the time I halve to reclutch sometimes up to 5 Times to get it in first, 2nd is notchy and so is 3 and 4. 6th gear is touchy as it will grind the gears. It's a craps shoot basically. Not sure what is going on.

You probably got a Borg Warner trans which is what was being used for the '97's and '98's and in my case, my '99 got one too which it wasn't supposed to. After my 3rd major failure with the transmission, I gave up and got a Tremec. No problems since.
