My DD is in need of new covers. Suggestions?

1. Should I shop (if there are any out there) for seats in good condition or
2. Order foam and new covers and have them redone?

Anyone who has gone through this I would like to hear from.

Dont even entertain the thought of buying used seats..too many possible issues with used stuff, and OEM poor quality foam and skins. Buy new foam and new seat skins on line and install yourself or have a upholstry shop take over. You then have new foam (which breaks down real quick on C5 seats) and better than OEM seat skins that will last the life of you Vette. Seats are a big part of a small car and can really improve the looks not to mention comfort. You can install seat heaters at the same time..luxury or what?
Greetings and good luck, Rob

Recovering your own seats is not that difficult, it just takes patience and a little time. Definately would only buy new foam.

The way I see it is you have several choices:
1. Recover your factory seats with something better like Vette Essentials
2. Recover your factory seats with something factory
3. Get new seats ie.. .Recaro or Corbeau

I went the Vette Essentials route and have been very pleased. Not cheap, but top quality covers for the seats.
