Default Lowering a C5

So simple even a Silverback can do it.

Only took 3 hours and I was pretty much taking my time.

Sorry, no pictures at this time. I need to drive it for a couple days to let it settle and then we have the weather issue up here in Washington. Rain, generally followed by more rain. After all, Summer really does not start until after the 4th of July here.

It only takes one trip around the block for the car to settle.

I'm sure this question has been answered numerous times, but I'm a noob and hope to get away with it.....how much rougher would you say does the C5 ride if lowered on stock bolts? Also, I ordered lowering bolts from Corvette America? I think? Was that a waste of money?

Silverback51, your excuse for no photos does not hold WATER. I only live a few miles from you and it was sunny almost all day long here. And the weather forecast is for sun on Monday with 0% chance of rain. We NEED those photos.

No front bolts here and longer rear bolts. The ride is not for everyone. It will definetly beat you to death.

The Corvette is my daily driver and attached is the 7 day weather forcast from the National Weather Service.

I was not going to wash it with only a single possible nice day coming up.

Well it won't let me post a picture for some reason, so here is a link.

Six out of the next seven days are either snow, snow/rain, or rain.

Post pics when you can, I am sure it looks awesome.

Question:
How can you tell if it is already been dropped a few turns already?
I love the low stance, but I already scrape the nose badly ( contact to metal skid plates) coming out my driveway, can't imagine it any lower, maybe it has been dropped already?

Default This is lowered

My 2002 Z06. 4 inches of ground clearance along the rocker panels, 3 1/2 inch at the cats, and 2 inches at the front air dam. I have to be careful of speed bumps, entrances to parking lots, etc., but it sure looks good lowered.

Silverback51, it is sunny in Puyallup this morning, just a few miles from Covington. WHERE ARE THE PICTURES????
