To all the naysayers - every word I posted is true. I never thought of pics (kicking myself in the *** all day). I will get a picture tomorrow and post it. I have pics that the seller sent but I will wait for picks in my driveway. Yes I sleep that soundly when tired - I failed to set the "special" alarm I have that wakes me and I fell asleep in a room with no phone or alarm in it.So now I dream about the supercharged monster in the driveway and pray it won't be the victim of vandals or thieves. Yeah, it is insured. Thanks for letting me rant.
Also what is this " special " alarm you speak of ?
No really the guy left the car with no paper work or witnesses. I sent him $550 and he (his wife actually) received it and is sending me the key. The car's second key arrived today. You all probably wouldn't believe the day I had after I got the key this morning, so I 'll skip that and jump to driving the car about 50 miles and loving it. It looks great, sounds great and drives great except I am not too crazy about the short throw shifter. I didn't stress the engine but it seemed to perform well. I am not used to six speeds and I spent a lot of time in fourth. The supercharger is virtually non existent when you just drive normally and does make a whir sound when it functions. I drove in an area where lots of cars cruise but it is threatening rain and almost no one was there. I need to get new rear tires. The front tires are in good shape and I am a little low on cash. It has 17s on front and 18s on rear. Not sure what would make a good tire but I am sure you all will help me. My other corvette should be available in May and this one is going somewhere that can improve the drive train for drag racing. By then, I will have another pair of wheels with drag radials mounted. Hope it is nice here Friday as I have the whole day to myself.
