And the correct answer to "who's buried in Grant's tomb" is no one, because tomb's are above ground. It's an old trick riddle.
See -- ya missed a chance to call me a moron, but I would argue if you are deep in a mausoleum you are still "buried" (as in under a pile of rocks) so maybe it's a dumb riddle
Again, I ask -- "Who's buried in Grant's tomb?"
If you don't tell me "Grant, you moron" but instead try to be nice to me, you are missing a great teaching moment...
I guess it is a Philly thing more than a Vette owner thing...
talk about dumb...Grant's Tomb is not in Philly....duh
I've never had anyone ask a stupid question or make an off the wall comment. Most people just ask if it's new. It's 12 years old. I did have a guy in a new BMW ride my bumper through traffic the other day and finally get up next to me at the light. I motioned to him to roll down the window and with a smile I asked him, "Is that the new Accord?". He seemed quite insulted and I felt fine. Rod

At which point he went home and posted a 'Dumbest questions asked' in the BMW forum..!
Just wanted to say, I see a lot of your posts Mr Bill. You're a class act dude! Always enjoy seeing your input. Glad we have guys like you in the forum. Keep postin.
Read this thread a while back and never had anything dumb said to me until recently when all at once several people made a few comments.
First off, you should know that my job is such that I work at different locations and repeatedly revisit them; but sometimes not for months at a time. Also, this summer, I gave the car a good polish and wax during the warm weather.
One day, a girl at work said "I don't understand how (someone who does your job) can afford a Corvette........a new one, too."
Not just a bitch but a dumb bitch. But thanks for the backhanded compliment - on both counts.
Another day, after not having seen my car since before the beginning of the summer, a guy at work asked "Is that the same one?"
I guess my time spent this summer polishing and waxing is not wasted.
Same guy also asked later "Do they hold their value?"
Best one was just yesterday when a guy at one of the places where I work, asked "Are they good on gas?" Then followed with "Does it have cylinder deactivation?"
I responded politely; but geez, are you faching kidding me? I should have made the comment that I read on here earlier: "You just don't get it, do ya?"

This young guy at chik fila asks are you running a 6 cylinder in there? so i politely smile and drive away. A couple of mornings later i whip in for a chicken biscuit, same young guy, hey you know if you put a 6 cylinder in there its a whole lot more powerful and faster,,,I politely smile and continue on to work,,,lol

Hi Mr. Bill!!! Always good to see your posts and I've yet to disagree with anything you say. I'm sorry that neither candidate chose you for their running mate!!
Regards,
Jeff
