It all depends on your driving amount, road conditions, blah blah. But my last kit was >5 yrs and it was still looking good. You have to play by sight I guess. Over time they can fade. General wash and application of a product such as Rejex, which the shop recommended will help it last longer. As far as removal, some people have had issues with it coming off after many years. Not issues like paint peeling, just a pain getting it to come off in one easy pull. I was fortunate to have it all come off in about 5 minutes in full sheets.
