1 of 5 with 60 k and you believe it is worth 40k... I think your dreaming... If the car is 1 of 5 why did you drive it so much? That alone brings down the value... callaway is like Saleen and Roush mustangs... You will have to be able to prove 1 it is real and 2 that it was not parts just added on... just saying

I believe the car is worth right what you paid for it, not $38k.

First... the pic posted, is that the Vette in question?
And @SurfnSun - how do you know what he paid for it?

It was Listed on the Callaway forum. It's a great looking car, I just don't see it as a mid-high 30's car.

i see that being priced at maybe best 25k...engine specs..was it a complete engine build..or just install a sc add some aftermarket body parts and call it a day...the car is great looking..but not for over 30k imo

Man, here I am looking at the pictures thinking, "hmmm, that torch red has a very different hue to it. Maybe it's just the camera." Then I went back and looked at the original post! Nice lookin' C5!

I can't tell if I like it because I just personally don't like crays. I think it would look better with stock Z06 wheels. Good luck with selling it!

On the Callaway Owners Group Forum, it was listed at $25K OBO. Didn't have any takers that I'm aware of. Wish I could swing it.
Is this the same car the OP is selling?

Sorry to those who dont like the 'Cray' wheels - hence the saying "Different strokes" ... think of how boring it would be if all wheels looked the same ! ...?
To [SurfnSun] - Any car is only worth what someone else will pay for it & this car was bought for a cheaper price due to the former owners wife having cancer [God help & bless her] !!
AND who said I had it for sale anyway ???
All the miles [hiway] were put on the car going to shows around the north-eastern states of the country - as a display car for Callaway. I saw all the photos @ the former owners house personally ,with the display plaque [I now have] with it roped off. Besides - he liked driving it ,after all ... it IS a car !! I like driving it too.
It did start as a stock vette - [all do] ,then went through the Callaway facility ... so it is a "Callaway" - said to be #2 of 5 of its kind. Happy Vetting everyone - Im going to drive the car & enjoy it. Mostly to shows & never in the rain ,but I hope you all drive your cars.

I didn't say you had it for sale, I just said in my opinion its worth what you paid for it.

I think its a nice car.

Remember, you started the thread asking about the value. There is no reason to be so defensive.

Easy way to post a picture, go to www.tinypic.com
Select choose file and find the picture you want to post on your computer and select. Click the “Upload Now” green button
Type in the scrambled words/letters and upload.
After the upload you’ll see share this image. The 2nd on the list is an IMG code for forums and message boards. Copy that IMG address and paste it into a post and your photo will be displayed in the post.

You can also use photobucket. Here's a how to link.
