The car everyone is questioning ... Yes ,its a Callaway.
It started as a stock Vette - [as they all do] then was escorted through the Callaway facility in Conn. - receiving ALL "series 3" of the upgrades available. [heads - cam - full exhaust & all body work]
Then it had the 'MagnaCharger' installed - for 585 h.p.
I was shown the photos - the car behind ropes @ shows for Callaway ,by the last owner. Its #2 of 5 ,making it worth more than the average C-5.
And since it'll give a new Z-06 a good run - makes it worth a lot more !!

Good luck selling it. You should have plenty of time to enjoy it while it's listed for sale at $30k+
Sorry to those who dont like the 'Cray' wheels - hence the saying "Different strokes" ... think of how boring it would be if all wheels looked the same ! ...?
To [SurfnSun] - Any car is only worth what someone else will pay for it & this car was bought for a cheaper price due to the former owners wife having cancer [God help & bless her] !!
AND who said I had it for sale anyway ???
All the miles [hiway] were put on the car going to shows around the north-eastern states of the country - as a display car for Callaway. I saw all the photos @ the former owners house personally ,with the display plaque [I now have] with it roped off. Besides - he liked driving it ,after all ... it IS a car !! I like driving it too.
It did start as a stock vette - [all do] ,then went through the Callaway facility ... so it is a "Callaway" - said to be #2 of 5 of its kind. Happy Vetting everyone - Im going to drive the car & enjoy it. Mostly to shows & never in the rain ,but I hope you all drive your cars.
I LOVE YOUR CAR, DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THESE PEOPLE IF YOU LIKE IT THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS AND I THINK IS A REALLY GOOD LOOKING VETT !!!

WRONG-that's not all that matters (like the guys with the red interior in another thread). When your trying to SELL the car, mods can make or break the price you'll get-the wilder the less return you'll see back in general. Heavily modded cars (especially performance mods) are frowned on my many buyers. It's like staging a house-NEUTRAL modifications are always better.
A heavily modded car needs a buyer with the same taste in cars as the guy that did it to get a good price.

Relax dude. Just because a car is fast doesn't necessarily make it more valuable. Enjoy your ride and don't forget to wave

I totally agree...... the fact that everything is done after the fact does not help the value on this car... The vin will show up a normal C5... Just because the car has callaway parts does not make it go up in value because it can now hang with a C6 Z06... If he wants to keep it for his own enjoyment great.. I hope he enjoys it... If he wants to sell it for what he thinks it is worth he will be holding it for some time... 1 out of 5 with 60k on it...
Thanks for the approval 'BlackLamboC-5' !!
I think your car is equally AWESOME .
Some people [like dougbfresh] ,think that "it has to be as factory" to be worth anything. I think ,probably like you ... STOCK IS BOOOOORING !!
The more mods. - the better & they're jealous ,because this car [like yours] gets attention EVERYWHERE it goes.
If it doesnt - I can up the anny & get my LeMans blue ,blacked out C-6 out - with $10k worth just in the MHT billet wheels & 1000 h.p. capable 402c.i. ,Procharged engine. It sets off alarms & I promise - gets attention & will win most any race !!

Instead of modding one car, I just buy more cars. Just got a Challenger to go with the Vette and the Bike (and the truck)-nothing BORING here.
It's been proven time and time AGAIN, the closer to FACTORY the car is, the more it's worth over time.

I think it looks good and all, and not sure if your trying to sell it, but like others have said, it will take a particular buyer. With the dropping prices of the c6's the market is only going to get worse, especially when the next gen is just around the corner.
I hate to be the person who says this but Corvettes are not exotic no matter what you think. I hope your not defining who you are because of the cars you have. If that's the case it is really sad. I use to be the same way.. I lost one race dropped 30k into the motor. What does it really prove? It showed me that modifying a car does not bring me the returns I thought it would. My car my be boring to you.. I would say my corvette new was 1/30th of what my house is worth. So I guys some of us wants a nicer home than to have a car with a lot of modifications.

Based on the OP's description, I'd say those pics have to be the car in question. The strange thing is that I've never seen a car done up by Callaway that didn't have "CALLAWAY" on the back, stitched in the seats, etc. Just looks like a modded C5 to me.
Edit: I just saw the tiny CALLAWAY graphic on the back. Others I've seen have a replacement rear fascia with CALLAWAY stamped in where it used to say CORVETTE.

I'm not saying it wasn't done by Callaway. Just saying that they usually do a lot more when they trick these cars up. That may have an effect on value - which I though was what you wanted to know.
