So are the pics posted here in #32 the actual car or just one like it? Not understanding why the OP is having so much trouble posting pics of his car. Download them to photobucket and be done with it already.

Based on the one pic that the OP posted and the description he posted, I'd say 100% that the pics in post #32 ARE IN FACT HIS CAR. Those pics are from a recent for sale ad - and he just bought the car. The OP also agreed that his car did not have the Callaway rear bumper - just like the car in post 32. Lastly, both cars have a front license plate. And we all know that if you owned a Callaway, you'd put in a filler plate and deal with the consequences. No way that two people are running around in Hugger Orange C5 Callaways with white stripes, orange interiors, stock rear bumpers, and a front license plate.

The car in #32 IS HIS CAR.

I think [dougbfresh] & [ulimate respect] have a "thing" going... the "plain vette club" & they are jealous of anyone who has a nicer car than them. I really dont care who has more money than I - I've worked for everything I have - [or build it myself].
Starting from living in my car @ 17 years old - to what I am now. Im proud of my accomplishments & I think any car made of fiberglass can be classified as "exotic".
And everyone who owns a vette should be happy.
Oh ... isnt it funny how the jack-a** who started the discusion of "his house being worth 30X that of his car" - is the one to whine when someone else tells what they own??
I dont care what anyone in your class thinks anyway - I like my cars ,I like my house ,I like my life ... get yourself one !
I think people are getting tired of hearing from pompous a**es like you two ... case closed.

Yes - the car in post #32 IS the Callaway & yeah ,it has a plate on the front ... or I'd get pulled over every time I drove it. We here in Mo. need both plates [unfortunately]. I dont know the specifics of the rear bumper "qualifications". Just wish I had copies of photos with the car in a Callaway display @ a car show - the last owner showed me.
But what do I know?... Seems 1/2 the people on here "know" a lot - [but very little]. The photos I saw dont lie.

John what is your issue? YOU were the one who bragged about how much money you have and how great both of your cars are. I am sorry you lived out of your car at the age of 17. I am really happy you own a bodyshop and your living your dreams. Last time I checked there was still no pictures of your Callaway or you C6.. Your facebook shows a ram truck and a 1998 corvette... so really John what gives?

Like I have said before I really can care less about what you have or don't have in life. I do not wish bad things about you nor will I take the low road and say things that make me look like a immature teenager. For someone who owns a business I would never be as arrogant as you... You may be older than me but you need to mature a little or a lot depending on someones perspectives.

[EXOTIC]: Eg;#3 "Strikingly or excitingly different or unusual".
I'd say this car qualifies !! Usually beauty is in the eye of the beholder & in this case "exotic" is defined by who is looking @ it, I guess.

Horrible thread. I laughed a lot though. Post up the documentation on showing that its a callaway. I cant see someone buying a Callaway package and leaving the stock rear bumper.

Id suggest changing your SN and starting over.....

JMHO.

Exotic:

1: introduced from another country : not native to the place where found

2: strikingly, excitingly, or mysteriously different or unusual

Number 1 does not fit and number 2 does not exactly fit either as a 1999 Corvette that simply had a little of the Callaway treatment done to. The Chevrolet dealer that sponsor our club happens to be a Callaway dealer and they are a dime a dozen around here. Now if you happen to have on of the custom Callaway's pictured earlier that might fit. I guess because of the area I live in, even Ferrari's Aston Martin and Lambo's are not even considered truly exotic as they are seem running around and there is a ferrari dealership 2 minutes from my house.
So call you '99 Corvette exotic if you wish, but it is still just '99 modified Corvette. I almost forgot, but I have a friend that drives a 2010 Z06 Callaway producing 13 more HP then the ZR1, only one done that year in the state of Florida, and no one has ever called it exotic, Bad *** maybe but not exotic.
