I keep getting a "Low Oil Level" warning on my DIC. Oil is OK but I have to keep resetting it. Do I have a sensor going bad or what is going on. I drove it to Rapid City yesterday about 150 miles and I had to keep resetting it on the way over. But on the way back it didn't come on once. What should I look for to stop it doing this? Is my oil pressure sending unit going bad?
Just keep a eye on pressure and make sure you are 100% on that oil level and you should be fine. The wiring in GM cars blow and do all kinds of funky things. Could be a sensor so might want to check into that.
I parked on a steep downhill front first and got this message. It's took a while to reset but finally did and hasn't came back on for three years.
I don't remember if I had to clear a code to get the message off or not but it may be worth a try.

Same here with both my C5 and wifes C6. Mine took a few days to go away, but the message on the C6 went away the same day (after a couple starts). I'd be willing to bet is doesn't come back, unless your favorite parking spot is sloped...
Low oil level is a simple check of the level of the oil in the sump. Out of interest, I got the warning once after I did my first oil change myself. I put 6.5 qts in as per the book but I had to add about another pint to get it to show full on the dipstick. I always add a little extra now and its not ocurred since.
