Since plans changed with my LS3 build, I decided have fun with my motor
Got a hold of these Brand new LS6 Corvette heads (12564243) from a friend. I was lucky enough that he found it at his shop after being in the storage for a long time So I decided to get them Milled 62cc and installed some PAC 1211x.
Reliability is a must for this build, so here are some of the goodies ill be using.
Your post has helped me, in that I had no idea I wanted to put a heat shield under the manifold. I had never thought about of seen such an obvious need in that place.
I am having to pull my manifold and will add the same stuff, I have a few shops around that might have the stuff. Any extra can go under my center console if I decide to not install the burrito oven in there, to not waste the heat.
It's nice that the guys with large skills can bump the learning curve of those of us lower on the skills. I would rather drive the thing than work or clean on it, so I need to learn a few things to keep up.
