2002 6-Spd. I'm seeing the following warnings on the dashboard display
Service ABS, Service Active Handling, Service Traction Control.
Any ideas what it could be? I'm dreading bringing to the dealership, sounds like big $$$.
You should access and post your DIC codes. My take on this, and I put this out there just to prompt people to show me that I'm wrong, is that if you have the 1255 code, you have more than a relay problem and are looking at a new EBCM.
something similiar happened to my car last night. Started it up and It looked like it went down a scroll list of alarms. No ding dings but. Service traction control. services tire pressure systems. reduced engine power etc. Kind of scared me so I shut it down waited a few seconds and started it again. No problems. Does it go thru a diagnostic check every now and then?

If it turns out to be your EBCM and you are a little bit OK with a wrench, take the unit out and send it to ABSfixer.com, they will rebuild it for $150.00 and send it back.
This is a common problem in the C5s. On a side note, you can still drive the car while the EBCM is being repaired , but your sudden stops ability will be affected.
All dashboard display warnings have stopped. I'm now thinking they were related to the battery condition. They all started after the car had been sitting a few weeks while I was away. After driving the car for a few days (and fully charging the battery) they all want away. I pulled the codes anyway and there were lots of them (mostly under the LDCM module) but they all were folloed by an "H" indicating history and not a current condition. As duegatti predicted the 1255 code was one of them. Thanks for all the replies, I really apapreciate the way the CF guys are always willing to help out a member with a problem. I have one more issue with the window I need help with, but I think I'll start a new thread to get appropriate replies. Thanks again...

I am having the same problem on start-up, but is very intermittent. Hopefully, it is a code problem in the DIC. Big $$$$

I checked that site and saw the same offer. My trusted mechanic insists on replacing the module with a new module from Chevrolet, to the tune of big $$$$. He has no confidence in the internet dealers.
Hope all is well. Had a similar issue with my 2001. Turned car off and they went away when I restarted. At least you didn't get the dreaded "Warning Will Rodgers".
Not saying this is your problem but multiple error messages along with power window issues does seem to be more than a coincidence. At least in my case it was.

Your trusted mechanic is wrong and just trying to profit off you. Ship it to ABSFixer, period. I had mine fixed that way, as have tons of others on this board. I have never heard of a complaint on a fix.
Now if you have an early C5, that is another story. I have yet to see an early ESBM fixed. Replacement seems to be the only way to go. And Chevrolet doesn't sell these, you need to find one in a junkyard.
Check out the Important Electrical Information sticky under C5 tech by Bill Curlee. If it isn't a battery issue, two things to check are the under hood chassis grounds, and the connectors inside the accordion going to each door.
