yikes! Thinking when it comes time to replace the clutch and or trans in my Vette i am going to tackle it myself, with help from the forum and it's members (and the manuals of course). i think i can do it. plus i have a buddy in town that is a Vette nut as well (he owns a 2001 z06) that might also like to help.

If they can't honor it, then don't offer it!
They did have parts in stock when the job started, it just went downhill from there.
i have not had the local dealer do any mechanical work on my Vette yet, but their body shop did look after some paint work for me and it worked out great. don't think i can afford the shop rate for mechanical. sucks this has happened i hope it gets resolved for you.

This is why I do all my own work even if I do have a warranty. I've tried the whole warranty repair game before, and I'm not a fan. I could get the job done faster, and know it's done right. My time is worth more than letting a bunch of jacknuts screw my car up for a 25% chance they will actually fix it.

There is a reason these people are dealership technicians and not R&D engineers or performance shop owners.

I feel for you, it is SO frustrating when a dealer "messes" everything up.
It amazes me just how many bad experiences folks have with dealers, me included.....
Problem also arises when you move for your job fairly frequently and land in a new town/city with no local knowledge, then you are really at the mercy of the "gods".
I have only ever owned one GM manufactured vehicle - my C5!
My DD's, pickup's and wife's car/s have always been other makes, so my GM dealer experience is limited, nevertheless the "other" auto dealers suffer the same darn issues...
Hope your repair gets completed and all goes well for you!

Just ask me about my Nissan Murano dealer experiences....second thought don't!!!!!!!!!! Wow, Dueck, they have been around since the beginning of time, thought they must have it right by now! You did everything right in letting BBB and GM know about these issues.. GM takes this very seriously and most dealers are painfully aware of this..keep up the pressure. Let them know you went on the forum too! Rob
