Funny how plans change.....

Any chance I could get you to take a pic of what's directly behind the radio/hvac frame? I've got something rattling around back there and it would be great if I knew what to look for before tearing things apart, and I would really appreciate the help.

Good luck in whatever you have planned.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I would love to inform the membership that I'm installing a new interior from Vette Essentials, or another reputable vendor, but my pockets aren't as deep as most Corvette owners.

I purchased this vehicle used with approximately 62,000 miles. The interior was very clean but far from perfect; I'm a perfectionist. The following components are being replaced/installed:
1. GM hazard light switch
2. GM front console trim
3. GM upper/lower steering column covers
4. GM power telescoping steering column switch
5. GM ignition switch cover
6. RedlineGoods shifter and parking brake boots (black leather w/ millenium yellow stitching)
.....and hours of cleaning.

I have plans for modifications in the future but for now, I want to address the substantive issues with the vehicle as it is my DD. More progress pictures to follow.

Unfortunately, I don't have any additional pictures of the interior with the dash removed (I re-installed it the same day).
Based off what I observed, there are a very limited number of sources which could be causing the rattle you speak of. Don't be afraid to disassemble your interior. After removing the center console and driver's knee bolster, the dash can be removed within 10-minutes.
P.S.-If it helps, 5th and 6th gear can be darn near impossible to engage under certain conditions.

Good luck getting it all put back together

BTW, if this is your daily driver, did you finish before you actually had to drive it somewhere?

Good luck on the repairs !

I saw your thread and was impressed with the finished product. Like me, you seem to employ the KISS model in the modifications/upgrades you choose. Excellent work.
