Default Sun shade ?

Well upon moving to sunny southern California a sun shade is a must for my c5 z06. Boy does it get hot in there. I've seen a couple different sunshades by Supportinh vendors on here and wanted to know anyone's recommendations they might have on which one I should pull the trigger on. I need to tint my windows soon here too. It just gets incredibly hot in this car when it's sitting. Thanks guys any feedback would be appreciated.

the best thing is to do is window tint and put a remote start and leaving the A/C on. best part of a corvette is it takes no time to cool the small interior space.

if i ever get a sun shade it would would have a corvette logo on it lol

This is the one I have - works great on keeping the interior cooler.

This is the one I use, it folds easily and fits behind the seat.

Here's the one I'm currently using, made by CoverCraft. I didn't buy mine from Zip Products (the photo), but they are a good vendor and have good customer service and their prices are within a couple dollars or so of all the other companies selling the same brand. It's a one-piece unit, without the logo (my choice), and well made and good quality soft binding material all around the edges.

I have one of those fabric ones that has the spring in the perimeter. It is amazing how it helps to keep things cool, even in the direct sunlight. I have tinted windows, and the shade makes the real difference.

Same thing I have and it twists down into a circle about ten inches in diameter with a loop of elastic that keeps it closed when not in use. It has a matt finish silver on the windshield side. Works great!! If you get a generic one at an auto parts store, make sure you get the "jumbo" one as the 'Vette windshield is so tall. Mine was $11.00.

I have heard that the really shiny metal foil finished ones can crack a windshield if the sun gets focused just right on it.

If you're happy with the Wal-Mart sunshield, then . Hard to beat $10.

When I bought the one from Ecklers, it sure as heck wasn't $85 (bought it three years ago). I got it on sale and appears they have raised their prices substantially. I still have one that I bought back in 1999 just like my current one (use it on the DD) that is still in decent shape - they do last a long time.

Whichever one the OP goes with, the point is to help keep the interior cool and the sun from messing with the dash.

I paid $45 or $50 from Amazon to have it custom fit as well. The area around the HUD was starting to separate because the cheap generic ones didn't cover the edges properly. Get a decent sunshade unless you just don't plan to own the car very long.

I bought one from WM, however, after a short time the flannel edges started to deteriorate and constantly left little fuzzys on my dash. Threw it away the other day. Need to purchase something else.
