i need some help!
i was cleaning my carpet in my 03 Z06 and i noticed a spring on the drivers side area..so i got a flash light and took a look..it looks like the spring on my clutch pedal broke...i did some reading on the good ole internet and read that its just a assist spring and is really not needed? how true is that?

Mine broke while I was driving the car. I noticed no difference in the clutch at all. I did replace it as the spring is about $ 10.00 and takes a few minutes to install. I do not think you need to worry about it.

Here is a picture of the spring.
It's 3" wide
Note the two white plastic bushings. they are slid into the assembly & the prongs of the spring slides int the bushings.
Best to keep/collect these two bushings in case you ever deside to replace or re install the spring.
