**Much more positive feel than C6Z shifter BUT not very notchy such as shifters such as MGW.
Your attack shifter. Is this the LGM shifter or did you build it?

My car is track rat at this point. My interior is gutted. I have a Hurst shifter with a long Delrin **** that I'm partial too. Plus I'm not paying another $50+ for a shift ball...

Does your shifter accept that Delrin **** that was threaded for a Hurst shifter for C5 Z06?

Have you guys ever driven, for a reasonable amount of time, with a Hurst shifter? I'd like to know how they compare from someone who has actually driven them.

The Hurst is probably the notchiest shifter I have ever used. BUT, it goes from 2-3-4-3-2 without error EVERY time! No money shifts on track. Getting it in 1st and Reverse can be annoying and if you don't know the shifter it probably would suck. It came in my car but I believe the original owner installed the heaviest springs that Hurst had in the kit.

I'm about ready for a change and your deal for $130 sounds pretty good.

In my 01 It already had a C6Z shifter in it. IMO it feels nearly the same as stock C5. Swapped it out for an MGW, not nutswinging btw, its just a great upgrade. Hopefully you enjoy your C6 one enough to leave it in.

My 01 Z has the Delrin shift **** with the modified C6Z shifter. You'll be okay.

This is not the LGM shifter. The shifter will fit your **** with no issues if it has a 9/16-18 thread which I believe the Hurst was. We have had several customers drive them for over 1/2 year before we finally started the production run of them. I think you'll be very happy with the shifter.

I couldn't find install instructions on your website. Can you point me to them or PM me a link.

I assume I need to reuse my plastic bushing on the bottom of the shifter ball? Should I order a new one from GM first?

The Hurst is 40% shorter throw but side loads are high and not popular. Yours is 30% shorter but smoother and with the bent shaft it appears to be a better trade-off for the 10% I will supposedly lose. I'll try one. Just send me instructions first.

You do have these in stock and ready to ship Monday? I'll order tonight.

I actually am on vacation till this coming Friday so I'm not shipping anything till then as I handle all the shipping for the mail order department. I'm in the middle of a forest right now /

Your shifter should have the plastic bushing on your current shifter. I will send you a link on how to install the shifter. It's no different than installing a hurst or most other shifters.

Enjoy your vacation. I'll get with you in another week then. I just need to get it installed by end of month so I can test it at my next track outing.

Just go ahead and place your order and I will get it shipped out once I get back. The shifter will ship USPS Priority Mail which means you may get it on MOnday since I'm working on Saturday this week

*In my opinion I don't really like the MGW (drove a friends who had it) versus the stock C6 shifter I don't like the notchy MGW feeling. the C6 still feel smooth and I like the way it feels with shifts. Just my opinion, very pleased with my 2012 c6 shifter! Love it!

I thought they (GM) quit making the C6Z shifter and now all Vettes get the base shifter?
