I did mine with Rustoleum Sunrise Red. I used a foam brush to aplly severa light coats. That was about 8 years ago and it still looks fine.

I used the G2 in Red last Spring and it appears to be holding up well. I was afraid I wouldn't have enough paint so I didn't paint the brackets, big mistake on my part. By the time I realized I had enough paint it was too late. I just covered the brackets with masking tape, had I tried to remove the tape and clean them, I would have messed up the paint on the calipers.

Okie

This is what I'm going to be using later today, once I finally manage to break the last caliper bracket bolt free (and it sure doesn't want to). I'm using the spray-on instead of the brush because I don't want brush strokes on my calipers.

And to be different than everyone else, I'm painting mine blue.

I used Folia Tec on mine - two part epoxy paint that brushes on and does not leave brush marks. So far it is holding up very well (2+ years since I painted them). Can buy the paint on the Internet - just do a search for Folia Tec.

Just FYI - No brush marks on the G2 either.....

Seems to be from what I've read here that any of these kits works fine....

Any pictures of how the blue turned out? I've got a silver C5 that I'm leaning towards blue, but it has to be the right blue for me.

We seem to all have that problem with caliper bracket bolts, changed my rotors about two weeks ago, and two bolts out of eight gave me hell. On another note, blue should be nice, I thought that, but ended up with red metallic..

Pictures please.....

That's what I'm thinking, it has to be the right blue. I believe the ZR1 caliper blue would be nice. The paint code for that is WA# 482p. I believe it's called "wave blue?"

I used VHT caliper paint as well. Good looking stuff. I went with black and sanded the corvette letters to shine like new.

Used the kit from O'Rileys and was very satisfied with the results. Kit has brake cleaner, paint, and brush. Put 4 coats on and had paint left.

The problem I'm having with the blue is this...I've been eyeing up the RF hash stripes from http://www.vettestripes.com and was thinking a grey with blue border. He shows a metallic grand blue on the web, and it is a nice deep blue. However the Duplicolor website shows their caliper blue as a much brighter color. Being that they would be so close to each other, I want them to match up well.

So before I lay down any money I need to make some decisions. 1)either skip the blue in the hash marks, or find another brand of caliper paint (or simply a high heat blue) that matches better. I was just hoping to see the actual VHT blue on a real car to help illustrate the final product better.

I used the Duplicolor Caliper Paint Kit and did mine in blue. Took 3-4 coats but has held up great. The paint is heat resistant and contains ceramic.
