I won't go into the ugly details but I screwed up my dash on my 04 convertible. I was thinking of buying an overlay kit (CF) from B&I to solve the problem. As an alternative I looked into buying a replacement part. It seems they no longer stock this part, at least the GMparts distributor in Scottsdale AZ. Anyway, has anyone had an experience with the B&I dash overlay (3D)? Also, if I found a replacement part, any ideas what it would cost to get installed?
Thanks
The part around the radio and gear shift, one piece.
I'm not familiar with the CF overlay kit that you speak of.
I personnnaly wouldn't apply it as it looks rather "cheapped out", & would most likely not stay in very good condition, once applied.
Spring for a true CF unit or have your's taken off & refinished with paint.
If you buy another one , it would cost approximately $50. to 100. for a shop to remove the old & replace with the replacement.
It is a very easy job to do & there are multible write ups on how to do so.

Used radio bezels come up for sale here on the forum quite often and at usually decent prices. I bought one late last year for a good price. A double DIN from Dennis would be a good way to go also.
