Default Ignition Bezel

Quick question. How does the bezel attach to the ignition switch? Mine flops all about, I think something broke on it but I'm not quite sure what. I can't seem to get mine to stick to the switch.

You have some work to do, to get to where this ignition switch bezel lives.

Top link is a picture of the part & price.
Notice the small hole in the part
That's most likely broke on yours.

Second link is instructions on how to get to it.

The bezel has three slotted openings on the back that line up with three pins on the ignition key cylinder and snap in place. If yours is moving it either came loose from the pins or the tabs of the slotted openings broke. Either way you will need to remove the radio/HVAC bezel to reveal the ignition switch bezel. Before removing the bezel pay close attention to the plastic cord that wraps around behind it so you'll know how to reassemble it correctly.

I have torn mine down a few times with after market HU and White Face gauge install and I noticed mine was loose to. The owner previous to me put a plastic shim in there to help hold it steady. Works good with no movement or play. Hope it works out for you.

X Ravin,
Evidently the last time it was taken apart, it was not properly reinstalled.

Zoom in on this picture.
Note the hole/pin in the bezel.
Note the flat sealing surface on the outer edge of the bezel.

Also panel may not have been reinstalled properly to push against the
sealing surface of the bezel.

You will find them cheaper at GM Parts House - $15.04 for the bezel versus $19.46 on fleabay. I know who I would rather deal with.
