"mountainbiker2", thanks for the PM. Fortunately I have been dealing with the aftermarket for the past 12 or so years so I am used to some of the problems you have experienced with ACP. As long as the fitment and quality is good the wait time and weight not so much an issue. I will be getting a fiberglass hood and getting it painted to match my car. Thanks for all of the good information guys, gives me something to think about.

The hood looks really good, as does the fitment. Thanks for the picts.

"superjet701k"

I just checked the Duraflex website and the hoods look pretty nice. How about letting us know how that works out for you (fit, finish, quality and customer service). My options are still open for where to go.

Thanks.

Here is a picture of mine. The fitment and quality is a lot better than the Carbon Creations CF hood I first had. Waiting to see how it it holds up. It has been on the car since March '12 and so far holding up in the Las Vegas heat.

wifes buying it for me for xmass so it will be awhile. she wont go for a holloween or thanksgiving presant either already tried . the vents to extract heat are way to far out on the hood above. probally still work but if you ever get near a viper watch the heat come out of that hood after a good beating.

Anyone else with an ACP hood or perhaps a different brand that allows decent venting of the under hood heat. I am ready to purchase, but it is somewhat difficult when I don't get to see the product in person first, so I am relying on my fellow Vette owners for some assistance. Thank You.

I did not see one in person before I purchased the one I had used on the forum, do not be afraid if this is the hood you like, this hood survived going 190+ at the Texas Mile

"Peter Pan" are you refering to the ACP hood that was pictured? I really like the style and it looks like it would do exactly what I want it to. I am looking more at the fiberglass version as opposed to the carbon fiber. Thanks for the picts and advice.
