that is hard to say..the c6 are gonna continue to lower in value esp the early years till they flat line..once that happens the more desirable C5 cars like the 98 pace cars ( in some peoples eyes) the 01-04 Z06's more so the 04 2004 corvette Z06 commemorative edition will continue to hold better value then counter parts..and i would guess the same would hold true to the c6 world..when you have the grand sports, the Z06 and the ZR1...

There was a recent article in Corvette Magazine that stated C5 values have started to trend upwards. If this holds true, I'd say the C7 will have more of an effect on the C6 values than the C5 - but a lot depends on how Chevy does with the final design of the C7 and the price point at which it will be sold.

Totally agree. C6's will drop a chunk and then continue downward for a little while longer. C5's are pretty much at the bottom of the curve (assuming they aren't high mileage and ragged).

IMHO, the continued aging that will make obtaining a loan to buy a C5 more difficult will have more of an affect on C5 prices than the C7.

Age, mileage, and condition will continue to drive the price of any car lower. Rarity will continue to drive the price of any car upwards.

Prices of c6's are lower and will continue to lower. Once the c7 comes out, the c6 prices will fall off even more. This will also push down the prices of the c5 as well.

The price of any car depends on milage , year of the car and mostly if the car is mint condition. I have seen mint c5 with extremely low milage go for more money than c6. It all depends on the buyer. We are all guessing here. You're only going to know when you try to sell your C5 . If you are going to sell ,better sell it now..........

"I beleive it will have a slight effect. Like Jim said, How could it not? Being that the C5 is a stylish generation with its lines, curves, and hidden headlights that you can not get in any other package." The well maintained ones will certainly hold their own in the market. I know that I'm hanging on to mine!"

It depends on if they decide to go with Camaro taillights or not....

yes. unfortunately the C5s haven't seen the bottom yet. the C4s are there and are starting to move upwards slightly, especially the more desirable ones. the C5s have a few more years and then they will start to trend up again. same thing happened with the C3s. they were a dime a dozen a few years ago and now they are moving up to about the same price as a C5.

The C6s will hurt more then the C5s I think... but who cares what its work. We all bought the car to enjoy them and not as investments.

Buying a vette as an investment is a big mistake unless they come out with a new generation that only has a 3 or 4 year production life, you buy it and keep it for 40+ years and don’t drive it. What a waste.

Instead by a well-cared for vette with 30K -40K miles on it and drive the heck out of it for the next 100K and enjoy it
